Connecting people and ideas
Since 2023, I have been working as a freelance consultant, specialising in communications, marketing, brand strategy, transformation, and change. Additionally, I am an accredited coach and facilitator. Before transitioning to consultancy, I served as the marketing, communications and digital director at the Museum of London, where I worked for over a decade. Based in Bethnal Green, East London, I work with clients across London, the rest of the UK, and internationally. My projects range from short-term consultancy assignments to longer-term interim and fractional contracts. I am also an experienced chair, trustee, and advisor to various charities and initiatives.

Professional expertise
With nearly 20 years of experience, I offer a unique blend of strategic insight and practical implementation at the intersection of communication and transformation. My expertise spans numerous sectors, including museums, theatre, universities and higher education, sustainability and retail. I have also worked for two global PR agencies. Many of my current clients are funded by Arts Council England (ACE), which gives me a deep understanding of the strategic opportunities and challenges faced by National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs) and Investment Principles Support Organisations (IPSOs).
Over my career I have worked with renowned organisations such as the Museum of London, Science Museum, Habitat, Porter Novelli, London Interdisciplinary School (LIS), GlobeScan, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Design Museum, Pilot Theatre and Museum of the Home.

Trustee and advisory roles
I am an experienced trustee and advisor to charities, primarily within the arts and culture sector. Currently, I Co-Chair Creative Estuary, an initiative aimed at transforming 60 miles of the Thames Estuary across Essex and Kent into one of the most exciting cultural hubs globally. Growing up in Southend-on-Sea in Essex and now living close to the Thames Estuary, I am deeply invested in this initiative. My current and past trustee and advisory roles include:
Co-Chair, Creative Estuary: Building leadership, capacity, and space for creative production, accelerating the cultural impact of the Thames Estuary.
Trustee, A New Direction: Generating opportunities for children and young people in London to develop their creativity.
Trustee, Shubbak: The UK's largest biennial festival of contemporary Arab cultures, bringing new and unexpected voices alongside established artists to London.
Former trustee, Theatre Centre: Producing bold, relevant theatre shows with and for young people, touring trailblazing new writing to UK schools and theatres.
My approach
In all my work, I aim to be collaborative and strategic, always keeping my clients’ vision and goals in mind. I combine creativity, analytical thinking and professional expertise to design innovative solutions for navigating business challenges. Being well-networked, I bring valuable connections to every project and have an excellent list of partners to complement my skills and experience as needed. I pride myself on strong interpersonal and listening skills. I bring a practical understanding of equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging to everything that I do.
Qualifications
Continual professional development is paramount to me. I hold professional marketing, PR, and coaching qualifications up to Master's level. I regularly take courses, read books, and listen to podcasts to keep my knowledge current. You can follow my learning journey on my blog. Currently, I am exploring topics such as leadership, organisational development, AI, teams, marketing strategy and communication strategy.
